Product Scope

Common Styles

These examples show common options for this category. We confirm the final style, fabric and specifications from your brief.

01

Classic Crewneck Tees

The foundation of every basics line. Neck rib width, collar recovery and side-seam vs tubular construction are confirmed before sampling.

  • 180–220gsm combed cotton jersey
  • Rib collar with reinforced shoulder tape
  • Side-seamed for better fit retention
02

Heavyweight Tees

220–260gsm boxy tees for streetwear and premium merch. Fabric density and tight knitting give the structured drape buyers expect at $25+ retail.

  • 220–260gsm compact-spun cotton
  • Drop-shoulder and boxy blocks
  • Double-needle hems throughout
03

Oversized & Drop-Shoulder

Graded from a reference garment with shoulder drop and body width locked in the pattern. Consistent oversized proportions across all sizes.

  • Pattern built from your reference
  • Wide rib collar, no sagging after wash
  • Garment-dye and wash compatible
04

Polo Shirts

Pique and jersey polos with custom collars, plackets and buttons. Suitable for uniforms, golf programs and premium casual lines.

Material and Handfeel

Swatches couriered for approval before pattern work begins.

Combed Cotton Jersey

Combed Cotton Jersey

180–260gsm

Compact-spun, low-pilling jersey in 100% cotton or cotton-spandex. Combed yarn removes short fibers for a smoother print surface and softer handfeel. Shrinkage controlled to ≤3%.

Organic & Specialty

Organic & Specialty

160–240gsm

GOTS-certified organic cotton, slub jersey, and cotton-modal blends for premium basics programs. Full transaction certificates available for organic claims.

Before Sampling

Details to Confirm Before Sampling

The four decisions that decide quality, cost and lead time — confirm them at quote stage, not after.

Fit and Block

Regular, boxy or oversized — send a reference tee or chest/length/shoulder measurements. Collar width and rib quality should be confirmed on the fit sample, as this is where cheap tees fail first.

Fabric Weight

180gsm, 220gsm and 260gsm are three different products. Weight, yarn count and knitting density together decide drape, opacity and print quality. We send swatch cards before pattern work.

Neck Rib & Shrinkage

Rib composition (1x1 cotton vs spandex-blend) and collar taping decide whether the neckline survives 20 washes. We pre-shrink fabric and test residual shrinkage on every lot.

Print Method

Screen print for volume and vibrancy, DTG for photorealistic small runs, puff or high-density for texture. Artwork format and color count change the price — send files early for accurate quoting.

Common Questions

T-Shirts: Quote Questions

What is the MOQ for custom t-shirts?

MOQ is 100 pieces per style and color for custom production. Stock blank programs can start lower. Mixed sizes within a style count toward the same MOQ.

How much do custom t-shirts cost?

A 180gsm combed cotton tee runs $2.50–4.50 FOB; heavyweight 220gsm+ organic tees run $4.00–6.50. Decoration adds $0.40–2.00 per print position depending on method and colors.

Screen printing or DTG — which should I choose?

Screen printing wins above ~50 pieces with fewer than 6 colors: lower unit cost and better durability. DTG wins for photorealistic art, gradients and small runs. We quote both when artwork is ready.

Can I get samples before bulk production?

Yes — always. Fit sample in 5–7 days, then a pre-production sample with final fabric and decoration for approval. Bulk cutting starts only after your written approval.
