Product Scope

Common Styles

These examples show common options for this category. We confirm the final style, fabric and specifications from your brief.

01

Casual & T-Shirt Dresses

Knit dresses in jersey and rib — the volume drivers of womenswear basics. Neckline stability and length consistency are locked at fit-sample stage.

  • Cotton jersey, rib and slub knits
  • Relaxed and bodycon blocks
  • Length graded per size, not proportional
02

Midi & Maxi Dresses

Woven dresses in rayon, viscose and cotton poplin with smocking, tiered skirts and adjustable straps. Drape is checked on live fit models.

  • Rayon, viscose, cotton poplin
  • Smocked bodice and tiered construction
  • Adjustable strap and tie details
03

Occasion & Satin Dresses

Satin, chiffon and crepe dresses with bias cuts, cowl necks and lined construction. Slip-wear quality depends on seam finish — French seams or clean overlock.

  • Satin, chiffon, crepe de chine
  • Bias-cut construction available
  • Full or partial lining options
04

Printed & Custom Fabric

Your prints on our bases: digital printing on rayon, cotton and poly crepe. Print strike-offs approved before bulk printing, with placement prints mapped per size.

  • Digital print, low MOQ per design
  • Strike-off approval before bulk
  • Placement print engineering

Cotton jersey, rib knits and ponte for structured knit dresses. Sustainable options include TENCEL, organic cotton and recycled blends with full certification.

Before Sampling

Details to Confirm Before Sampling

The four decisions that decide quality, cost and lead time — confirm them at quote stage, not after.

Fit & Drape

Woven dresses live or die on drape. Send a reference garment and we match fabric weight and weave before pattern work. All fits verified on live models across at least two sizes.

Fabric & Print

Base fabric first, print second. Print quality, color depth and handfeel all depend on the base cloth. We print strike-offs on the actual bulk base — never on substitute fabric.

Construction Details

Smocking density, ruffle gathering ratio, zipper type and lining spec each change both look and cost. These are confirmed with photos and measurements at sample stage.

Length & Grading

Dress length should be graded by size, not scaled proportionally. Confirm the measurement points (HPS to hem) and the grading rule in your spec sheet.

Common Questions

Dresses: Quote Questions

What is the MOQ for custom dresses?

MOQ is 100 pieces per style in stock fabrics. Custom-printed fabric starts at 100–200 pieces per print design depending on base fabric.

How much does a custom dress cost?

Casual knit dresses run $8–12 FOB; woven midi dresses $10–16; lined occasion dresses $14–18+. Custom printing adds $1–3 per garment depending on coverage.

Can you print my own fabric design?

Yes. Send print artwork (repeat file, 300dpi+) and choose a base fabric. We produce a strike-off for approval before bulk printing — typically 5–7 days per design.

How do you check dress fit before bulk?

Fit samples are tried on live models in your core sizes, photographed and measured against spec. Adjustments are made and a second fit round follows if needed — bulk only after written approval.
